Announcements for 1/31 – 2/4

You made it!! Already half the school year is over and you have done a fabulous job! There will be a lot going on in the weeks ahead so begin fresh and stay organized as we turn the corner looking ahead to 7th grade!

Astrocamp forms will come home Monday and need to be filled out and returned by Friday! We will be starting our Human Body Unit so get ready to learn about muscles, your bones and much more!  Don’t forget your Science Fair Question and Hypothesis is due this Friday as well.

2/3 – China Test

2/4 – Astrocamp forms due  – Question & Hypothesis Science Fair Project idea due

2/14 – Valentine’s Day Party after lunch – buy those Valentine’s!!

2/18 – No school – Teacher in service day

2/21 – President’s day – No school

3/4 – Hospital Field Trip – forms will come home

Wow we are almost to the end of the second quarter! Half the year is already over…but we still have some very fun things planned ahead…You are a great class with so many gifts! It has been a joy getting to know you all so well.

Wednesday, 1/26 Sports Photos in the morning & then Trip to Juvenile Hall (9:30 – 1:00) Pack a lunch

Thursday, 1/27 Last Day of Quarter – Rosetta must be complete!! & In – N- Out Day

Friday, 1/28 No School – Teacher Meeting Day

What a beautiful 3 day weekend! Hope you were outside enjoying the warm sun at some point! Today as we remember Martin Luther King, Jr. may you take time to pray for our leaders, our country and the wonderful message that Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for.

The end of the quarter is next Thursday…make sure Rosetta is complete and be aware of upcoming tests as we close the quarter.

Wednesday, 1/19 His Little Feet Concert for Chapel (then dinner and concert in the evening 6-8)

Thursday, 1/20 – Mr. Weiss’s last day at Salem…we will miss him!

Science Fair Packets went home last week – remember to start thinking of your project and give your Question & Hypothesis to Mrs. Marquardt by (Feb. 4th) All Science Fair Dates are on the Blog.

Friday, 1/14 field trip to see “Charlotte’s Web” at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana.  Drivers, please be ready to depart at 8:45 a.m.

May you be reading this well rested and ending a wonderful vacation. I am looking forward to beginning 2011 with you and anticipating all the fun things we still have planned for 6th grade. The end of the quarter is just around the corner…so don’t forget Rosetta. Also we have some fun field trips coming up in just a few weeks. I pray you all enjoyed your Christmas and celebrated our Saviors birth!! Can’t wait to hear about all the fun things you did!!
