About Mrs. Marquardt

I am very blessed to be a teacher and thank God for the opportunity to touch young lives. I am a graduate from Concordia University, Irvine and have had the chance to teach at various grade levels over the years.
My first teaching experience was teaching 6th – 8th grades at Granada Middle School in Whittier.  Then I had the opportunity to teach Science and Physical Education as well as coach Volleyball at Lutheran High (Orange) for 2 years.
I took a few years off from teaching to work at home.  The Lord blessed me with two wonderful children, Jessica and Joshua.  When I returned back to the classroom I taught 3rd grade at Mt. Calvary Lutheran School in Diamond Bar.
Then the Lord led me to teach 6th grade at Salem.  This is my 15th year teaching 6th grade now and I love it!
So as you can see I have taught in quite a few different grades and I must admit that teaching 6th grade has offered me the most surprises and there is never a dull day with a 6th grader!
I received my Masters degree in Education at Concordia University.
My husband Paul and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary this past summer and we are grateful for the Lord’s continued blessings upon our family. This past year our daughter, Jessica was married to our lovely son in law Matthew Parks and our son Joshua will be a Junior at UCSB.
My favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
The Lord has led me to many different places at different times in my life and He has always blessed me along the way…even when it seemed very difficult.
Always trust in the Lord!
Please email me! I’d love to hear from you!
